Gordita Appetizers (Plump Tortillas)

INGREDIENTS

PREP (immersion blended together):
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
4 ounces cooked red kidney beans
1/2 cup water
1/4 salt

BOWL:
3/4 cup and 2 tbsp Masa Harina flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder

TOPPINGS:
guacamole
radish slices

PREPARATION

1. Add PREP to BOWL and mix well — cover and let stand for 15 minutes.

2. Divide dough into twelve parts and then form each into a 2-inch round.

3. Heat 1/8-inch fat in skillet and fry each side until crisp — about 1 to 2 minutes each side.

4. Drain on paper towels and then place TOPPINGS on each.
